Barn Raising Festival
Saturday, November 28th, 2009

Celebrate the beginning of the holiday season with a traditional barn raising festival at The Mansion.

A barn raising is an event during which a community comes together to assemble a barn for one or more of its households, particularly in 18th- and 19th-century rural North America.

Witness the raising of the 'Seed to Soul' Pavilion on The Mansion grounds. (To view the schematic drawing of the 'Seed to Soul' Shelter, click here).

Enjoy a tour of the mansion and rediscover history.

Experience the delicious taste of 'Grandma Jangee's' turkey sandwiches and hot seasonal mulling cider provided by Key Ingredients for Life.
